
Creating the artwork for Etnoscope’s comeback album Way Over Deadline was a dream come true. For inspiration I drew upon the design aesthetic of labels like Digital Structures and Iboga circa 2003, back when Scandinavian progressive trance was at its peak. I shot the original source material in Squamish, B.C., at The Chief and nearby Shannon Falls.







There is an easter egg in this design, something that I doubt anyone has actually figured out. I suppose I might be giving it away by saying that this album originally had a different name, but there it is… something for the hardcore Etnoscope fans to puzzle out.
