Jikkenteki’s final album called for an ambitious design project that led me to Kiki AKA Keely Chu’s studio in Kensington Towers, Toronto. She has quite the collection of spooky and weird curios, some of which I assembled into an ad hoc scene which I then photographed. Typesetting on the cover was accomplished using mirrored photographs of steel inset type rescued from a print house in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Scroll all the way to the bottom to see a few “behind the scenes” photos.
