DJ Basilisk ranges widely on Silicon Overmind 2, the second edition of a mix series exploring the many permutations of psychedelic techno and beyond. Embark upon a grand tour of many different moods and styles, from midtempo breaks and dub techno to minimal and progressive psytrance. This study in contrasts showcases Basilisk’s smooth and harmonic mixing style as well as several tracks from Techgnosis Records, the psychedelic techno label he co-founded alongside Ben Rama in 2015. Ultimately the aim is to induce a hypnotic and, at times, euphoric effect, always with an ear for the transformative power of sound!
