
For the cover of Being and Becoming…, the debut album from Jeremy’s Aura of Montreal, Canada, I rifled through my archives to source an abstract and asymmetrical image that communicated a sense of movement and timelessness. I quickly gravitated toward a photograph of a rock formation at Yehliu in Wanli, Taiwan, which I had been meaning to use in a design project sooner or later. Working closely with the artist we devised a suitable colour scheme to match the mood of the album.
Type is set in Trajan Pro, used in the artist’s pre-existing word mark, and Valeria, a beautiful font by Iñigo Jerez at Textaxis.
